Steve Stevens on January GuitarWorld issue

Hi guys,

Been around for quite a time now but never felt the need to post (no money > no BKP > no "what pups in what axe" to share )

Just to say that you can hear Steve Stevens talking about his work with Idol and showing how to play some of the famous tunes in the DVD that goes with the January issue of Guitar World. And so ?
Well he's playing his wicked cool LP with the Rebell Yell in it. Talk about a great way of hearing those  :D

Don't know if those are the actual and latest prototypes, Tim will probably tell us, but they sure sounds way cool.

That's it! Oh and by the way this is an incredibly cool forum.

I just picked up said copy of Guitar World and it's a great article. Nice picture of Steve Stephens with his awesome LP with the Rebel Yells in it. What colour is that on the LP? I love it! Alas no DVD when purchased in the UK, which sucks.

I think this finish is the sparkleburst one that Gibson rarely applies on guitars. Most of them are Custom Shop, like the Justin Hawkins one.
The Steve Stevens is Red-to-Yellow Burst (not cherry!) and Hawkins has a Silver sparkleburst and a Pink sparkleburst one !!  8)

For the Guitar World DVD, i think the best way to have it is to suscribe to Guitar World... It's not has pricey has we may think : i paid 54€ (36£) for one year. Well keep also in mind that it may not be the best guitar mag around     UK Guitarist Mag is better IMO.

That was awesome. That little Fender amp sounded great. Although I'll bet that 90% of that was due to the BKP'd Les Paul and Steve's fingers :P. The pickups sound great. Really, really great.

Thanks so much dude, I found it very interesting how he came up with those riffs. If you notice all his influences are really old school like 60s music and before.
