NAD! MJW Cub.
« on: June 30, 2010, 09:26:05 PM »
Well, I have had some of this set up for a while, but just got the badges to finish it today. And yes, it is mine, as I've finally had time to build an amp for myself. Doesn't happen often!  :D
I hope you can get an idea of it's size from the knobs etc. The cab is a 1x10 with a Tayden True Brit.
At last got something to practise with, now I just need some time to practise. :?

Very nice :)

Is that a smaller MJW logo plate?  Looking at the size of the amp relative to the knobs is looks a similar size the the Goldstar power amp, only marginally wider, but the plate looks way smaller...
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

Thanks.
Yes, it is a smaller badge. 50mm top to bottom, a special one just for the Cub.

What a nice looking little amp. What tonal territory is it in? The red snake tolex looks really good. Very rock n roll  :D

It does match my Explorer's case.

Nice.

Love it! I've been eyeing up some of this tolex myself-- really suits the smaller cabinet amps :)

It's 1W absolutely flat out, so even with the master on full, it's not too loud for home use.

Tonally, it's quite Marshally when cranked, but the semi-cleans are a bit rounder and sparklier. There's a good clip on my MySpace page, recorded very kindly at our own Tom J.'s.  :)

Personally, I don't often get this from an amp of any description... but that looks really, really tasty :D
