Some Riff Raff - Heartbreaker
« on: July 01, 2010, 05:11:29 PM »
Whilst charging my Tascam DR-1 I found a recording made about 18 months ago at the wedding of the drummer in my son's band with me playing my SG Reissue with Riff Raffs. (They asked me to play as they wanted an old fart who could remember some Led Zeppelin numbers ).

So this is me trying to do the live version of Heartbreaker. I should point out that the Tascam was just left running at the side of the stage (probably a bit too close to the drummer!) so don't expect high fidelity - oh.. and the 'singer' was in fact the groom who did this number to surprise the bride.
Amp used was Cornford Hellcat Combo - no effects. ( I felt a bit 'naked' doing the unaccompanied Jimmy P bit )

despite the rough and ready recording, your guitar (and amp)sounds great.it sounds like it was a blast of a night.
oh and how cool to play in your sons band

Thanks - and I'm sure you'll enjoy your custom Riff Raff Eric.

Seems like Riff Raff clips are a bit like waiting for a bus - nothing appears for ages and then 3 come along at the same time  :D
