Black Dog plays something doomy

I retracked the guitars to this songwriting demo over the weekend. All of the tracks save for one solo were recorded with the Death By Audio Fuzz War pedal. One of the solos uses the Fulltone Ultimate Octave; it'll be very obvious when the UO kicks in.

I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating -- I love the Fuzz War. It's mean, it's nasty, it's EXTREMELY LOUD.

Black Dog bridge pickup used throughout, except for the solo at 5.35-ish. That is a neck Black Dog.

Enjoy!

Exhortation of the Heights
© 2009

O, hearken you Titanic children,
Crown princes of uncounted realms
Invested upon a galactic dais
Wielding the scepter of sustaining fire
Planetary supplicants
Arrayed across fiefdoms vast
Confident in ancient power
In blazing vestments cast

Know that once, we too were Lords
Crowned in cloud and possessed of sight
Hawk and falcon; sentinel and messenger
Humbled before our Olympian might
Struggling life primeval, rising and falling
Extinguished before our dispassionate gaze
What sights we beheld from our heights
What sagas; what wonders; those eonic days.

From our ruin we call
From our darkened Halls
From our silent Shrines
With our shattered spines
Where The Void reigns
No Lords remain
Beware, beware, beware,
Pride goeth before…

Can't believe nobody has commented on this yet!!!!!???!! That's some great stuff, very heavy-Sabbath style.

I love the sound of that!
I used to play in a band a couple of years ago, which sounded quite similar I feel, mostly because our singer sounded very similar to yours.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog
