Summer is on hold!
« on: July 09, 2010, 12:29:51 PM »

My 3 year old girl was caught short and left a wet patch on the bathroom tiles, cue my 18 month old boy heading to the bathroom at full speed a few seconds later and the result....

a night in casualty, a broked femur, up to 6 weeks in traction in hospital.  Me and the missus are taking it in turns to stay over with him so for now....

Summer is on hold.....  :?

Ouch, nasty :(

All the best for a full speedy recovery.  IMO there's nothing that hurts a parent quite as much as hearing/seeing your own child in pain.

I sympathise though.  One thing that they never tell you about having kids it the lack of toilet disciplin...

Hope he's better soon, and is in good spirits.

I hope he has a speedy healing poor little chap. On the bright side, he'll will be able to tell his mates about it in years to come.

Thanks folks, I'm sure he'll be right as rain soon enough.

Although he's pretty uncomfortable he's always got a smile for the nurses and is certainly charming them all.  Also, the consultant is hopefull he'll be home in 3 weeks which is much better.  He's mad on motorbikes and cars so I'll take him a superbike DVD tomorrow to keep him occupied :D
