NGD - Yamaha - but she's not staying
« on: July 10, 2010, 06:27:51 PM »

Just did a trade with a guy for one of my guitars and ended up with this beauty
It's a real beauty and condition wise it's like it's never left the case

Condition is so mint I'm almost scared to take it out of the case
The workmanship would easily make Gibson blush

I've just posted it up also in seconds out to get some interest going for anyone that might want to take it off my hands
These are over £2000 new
I would keep it myself but I desperately need to pay for some materials I am buying in for the 2010 Ltd Edition Lions
Otherwise I would go and trade it for a Gibson J185 or something similar

I saw the thread in Seconds Out, it's a beauty!  :D

I know it's pointless, but I'll ask anyway.... what's the weight?  And what's the neck profile?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Weight is fairly heavy (10 lbs) and neck profile is like a Gibson 59 LP
Plays nicely too!

That is gorgeous! I never would have guessed it would look so good in black. Very classy.

Ooh - I'd forgotten about Triumph - they were a good band

The guitar still has the protective plastic on the scratch-plate and rear covers - that's why they are not all shiny in the photos

I 'd love to get about £1500 for the guitar, but am open to sensible offers
She'll be even better once I've had a chance to give her a great set-up

I will forever want one of these. Probably the most solid guitar I've ever come across.

One of my favourite ever guitars for sure. I fell in love with it when I first heard Santana's 'Moonflower' album many years ago and to my mind he's never had a better tone. His PRS is nice but nothing like as good as a Yamaha SG for tone imho

Absolutely beautiful; I love Yamaha SGs, If it was mine and of course if it was a lefty, I'd have to keep it. The Yammy SG is one of the guitars I've used as a benchmark for my own guitars ever since I started making them.
