Sure thing, I found out officially what type of wood the guitar was when I was installing the single coils, had to trim some wood, and after grinding through about 2 mm of paint, it looks, and smells like Alder, so it's a solid Alder body, with a Maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Pretty standard strat specs, the neck feels like an Ibanez Wizard neck, so that's why I love this guitar so much. It's a pretty nice riffing guitar, but I need to have the frets redone if I want to do any really decent leads, it has a warp in the fretboard near the 15-th21st around the G,B, and e strings, from me not knowing how to take care of a guitar my first years of playing, so I ended up grinding down the frets there to compensate for the warping.
Nah, it's still DI, I don't have a mic or interface, so I can't mic it up. It's interesting, since I only single tracked this, I played with the tracking a bit. I high passes the guitars twice at 250hz, then I copied the the track, and pitch shifted it an octave lower, and low passed that at 7500hz to get the low end of the guitar without muddying it up, then I copied both tracks, moved it 20ms, and panned one group to the left 100%, and the other group 100% to the right.
I honestly can't believe that it worked decently.
