We almost named ourselves 'Jehovah's Platypus'.... did the artwork and everything! Odd - well, beer + stoner - choice for a sludgy metal band but there you go.
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

I reckon Surrounded By Idiots is pretty good - and I don't think most of the audience will imagine you are referring to them... and who cares if they do anyway?

And if you're worried they DO think you're referring to them with 'Surrounded by Idiots', your vocalist could always introduce you with something along the lines of:
'Good evening, I am Surround by Idiots', while looking around at the rest of you.

It's the best of those three by a long shot.

"Surrounded by Idiots" is a clever and fun name for a rock band.

'Surrounded by Idiots' is my favourite I must say but the others just can't see it. I saw the band last night and their latest suggestion is to call the band 'Brian', having had a bit of a Monty Python moment!

  • Zebedee Cosmic and the Deluxe Mobile Freakout
  • Leonard Lenin and the Llama's Pyjamas
  • Three Million Years of Dead Spiders
  • Meltywell Cheese

WTF are these names? What the guy that chose them was smoking??? :P

I like the Surround by Idiots name, make a big flag to put on the bottom of the stage is a good idea to not have misunderstandiments...

I used to dep for a band sometimes called Velour Amour. That was a winning monicker.

The drummer is throwing his teddy out of the pram and is refusing to play in a band called 'Surrounded by Idiots' so I'm now suggesting 'Knights of Nee' as an alternative  :D

Or how about a new suggestion:

'The drummer's a tw@t'

My favourite band name of all time has been dreamed up and implemented right here in Bristol - they're gigging under this name as I write.  It is....wait for it.....

- Duck My Sick.
