Hey guys. I have this physics project to do for my A-level coursework, where we have to find out about and do a presentation on a material. I have chosen mahogany as a tonewood.
I know there's a few guitar builders on this forum, and i thought that maybe you could tell me what makes Mahogany such a good tonewood. I'll need some physical specs and what makes it resonateso well, where another material would not.
Thanks for any help!
I knew one day i'd have an excuse to be on this forum in a lesson!
I also know that the name Mahogany applies to a variety of different woods, and any information about the differences between these, and how and why they are different would be greatly appreciated.
