alot depends on the guitar your using as well (obviously(!)) but i've been playing round with pedals this afternoon and decided my od-1 is my absolute favourite for humbuckers, and the treble booster for single coils and lower output buckers.

IMO strats sound good with a slightly fuzzy drive or a distortion, but i dislike that style with humbuckers - clean drive or boost all the way there.

that was a great tip you gave me there ian, its my favourite pedal for humbucker guitars by far. i left some bass dropout in there, but thats just me. i'd like to hear your version someday mate.
