8 string schecter with cold sweat bridge playing iced earth

I think the title more than explains the point of this clip. I wanted to record a good sample of the low F going chugga chugga. so what better example than ''travel in stygian''

i haven't recorded the solos yet but in this clip i was more interested in the gallop riffing on the low F. iced earth solos from this era are a bit odd :) but there's a cool tapped harmony thinger that will nicely demonstrate my riff raff neck's fluidity.

rig: allums modded BD-2 (volume max, drive 9 o clock) into ADA mp1 preamp into Valve junior 5w power amp into behringer direct box into cab impulses on the computer.

guitar: cold sweat bridge loaded schecter blackjack ATX. mahogany body and set neck. with ebony fretboard. low F is a .95 bass string.

most of the song was ''modernized'' to better showcase the low F. if you want to hear the CS's extreme clarity and thunk, it's here :D the drums kinda suck but they do the job. sorry about that!

Travel in Stygian :ctf2:

thanks! i really like how it retains the pick attack, while having a good grunt in the background. and for the normally voiced chords is just roars with middiness (even though i mixed and scooped the guitars a bit once recorded so the whole thing doesn't sound so dark)

the bass is also on the same octave and it really shows when you take it out of the mix. i need to rerecord it though, my current bass lacks sustain and i didn't really compress it enough, it definitely shows in the ''clean'' part.
