I'm not sure the effect it has on women but it is a nice song

I find most women do!

For real romantic moments I've had success with "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche, "More Than Words" by Extreme and "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. Though if I never heard "More Than Words" again it'd be too soon.

John Martyn's Solid Air.

Fine, fine album - always worked for me...

Recommended conditions for it to work properly:
- Prior intoxication
- Low-lighting
- Comfortable seating that encourages horizontal positioning

It works on any girl, regardless of musical taste (rockers, hippies, classical-types, punk-ettes, ABBA-fans, I've known ole Solid Air to weave its magical spell on all of them :D).

It would probably work even better nowadays (on CD), you wouldn't have to get up to turn it over at the wrong moment...

(I am, of course, assuming that "trying to be charming and weave a special kind of romantic moment" means what I think it does )

I +1 on this.

I would also put one in for Eric Clapton's 'Wonderful tonight' (i think thats what it's called?).

Solid Air ad Al Green are the best suggestions I've seen on here so far......... but when you're like me and have a teething baby, anything will do as long as it drowns out the screaming.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Ah, to drown the screaming (especially in a shared-house), I have had good results with Ace of Spades in the past. This was many years ago, though...
