Congrats. I used to own a PRS that looked just like that one. a 1990 or 91. Wish I didn't sell the damn thing now.
Mmmm,it's a 1990,Steve  8)!I'm taking good care of it !I really love the fretboard's feel ,it's Braz Rosewood. But the one from HairyChris is beautiful, looks like real Jacaranda !Congrats!

Thanks!

Really nice! Reminds me of my friends (similarly old-school) PRS. His is alder-bodied, maple + rosewood neck. Resonant as hell, sounds great and is naturally reliced.

He did change the pickups after a while, for Lindy Fralin PAFs IIRC. Had a HFS/VB combination there originally, I think..

-Zaned

Sounds like a CE (bolt on), early ones were alder.

Oh, I have a pimped PRS too. Also a great instrument but very different!

Well, it is supposed to simulate a very long instrument cable, so acts as a kind of treble cut. It's most noticable when you're using the inbetween (7, 8, 9) settings on the 5 way. I generally don't use it, as a bridge pickup/high gain freak, but having just got hold of a low/mid gain amp for home use I'll be using it more!
