In a fit of mania I bought one of the 2009 Fiesta Red American Standards with the red matching headstock to accompany my Surf Green machine.

I had intended to put some Apaches in this baby - Unfortunately the fiesta red was more like a hot rod red so I the Hank vibe just wasn't coming through.

Solution: take advantage of the HSH routing and put a tortoiseshell BKP loaded pickguard in with Crawler and two ITs.
Result: Awesome - Looks great and really rocks - the Crawler works perfectly with this strat and the ITs balance perfectly.

Cheers BKP!

(sorry about cr@ppy Iphone pic)
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set

it really does look like a hot rod with that colour coded headstock! i'd never own such a guitar myself, but it looks well tasty I have to say. No doubt it rocks hard!!

I like it, and even though red (Fiesta or otherwise) isn't my favourite colour I love the matching headstock!

nice! I don't normally like the matching headstocks, but it works for that hot-rodded vibe :)

A matching headstock on a strat doesn't look half so bad if you lean it against furniture of an appropriate colour, does it?

Nice score :D

I think it looks great.  Matching headstocks look good with rosewood fingerboards (both my Jazz and Precision have them).  Never too sure with maple though.  Anyway, the tortoiseshell scratchplate works too (I used to have tortoise on my CAR MIJ 62 tele).  I'm sure it sounds great with the Crawler/IT set.

I like that - very good indeed. Kind of matches the guitar in my avatar.

I think it looks great too. Normally I am not a fan of matching headstock but that does look just right to me.

not a red fan myself, but a lovely pup combiation for sure, IT's certainly my fave set, and the venerable geoff whitehorn seems partial to one in the middle with a crawler bridge.....enough said, apart from enjoy :D

I think it looks great too. The colours and neck look really well balanced. With that pickup combo bet that guitar sounds fantastic too!  :D
