In the studio with my Painkiller!
« on: September 08, 2010, 12:17:00 PM »
Hi all,

Been busy in the recording studio with my BKP.  Setup as follows:

Maverick F-3 Guitar (Hardtail)
BKP Painkiller Neck Pickup (Covered)

Mix of:
Engl Powerball through Engl Cab (V60s)
Diezel (herbert?) through Orange Cab (V30s)

Other guitarist through the other two tracks using Peavey 6505 through an Engl Cab and the same Diezel through Orange (no BKPs I'm afraid!).

 :) cheers, Alex (:

nah I'm not sure lol.  The Engl is mine, but the studio owner suggested we try mixing it with his amp and it sounded monstrous so we went for it!!! I just can't remember what it was :S argh!lol

just had a listen to Echo and REALLY like that, especially the melodic riff towards the end.

sounds really good!
are you on the left or right of the mix?
AND
have i misunderstood or you're using just a neck painkiller?
so technically speaking there's no BKP in these recordings... :)
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

argh, bridge pickup - I meant to write bridge lol (using a bridge PK in these recordings).  I'm the higher voiced guitar (straight chords at the start of echo with Jai playing the riff over the top for the first run through)

cheers mate - I'll have a listen to your stuff later when I get home (fun is banned at work lol)
