6505 clean?

Hi all,

My amp died yesterday :( and is now in the repair shop.

I've managed to borrow a Peavey 6505 (NOT the plus model) for a gig I have on Saturday.  I know it can do the heavy stuff but we have some VERY short sections in a couple of our songs where two guitars play clean harmonies together - will the Peavey be able to clean up enough to do these bits but still be ok for the heavies?

One of the songs is the second track on here - http://www.myspace.com/silentresistance (other guitarist starts then I'll join in) - some quick changes there :S

You'll struggle to get that clean at any significant volume.

I have the 5150-II (ie the 6505+), so the cleans are already much better on that, but you *can* get gig-passable cleans, given that you're really using it for the heavies mainly. I assume you have a footswitch?

thats a very good question - I have no idea if it has a footswitch (d'oh) - does it just take a standard switch or is it some specific thing?
