Changing pickups
« on: December 16, 2005, 06:52:11 PM »
Hi

I bought a seymour ducan JB and I want to compare it to my Holy Diver. Anyway I have the holy diver installed to coil tap.

I was wondering are the wires basically the same on the duncan as on the Bare knuckle? The red and the white wire are soldered together I dunno why.I'm just gonna rewire it exactley the same see how it goes :D But if anyone can offer any advice here I would be most grateful, cheers.

The difference between a BK and a SD pickup is that the red and green wires are reversed.  The BK needs the white and green soldering together and you use the red and black, the SD needs the white and red soldering together and you use the green and black.
So many pickups, so little time
