Peavey XXL supreme with a boss heavy metal pedal AND a boss metal zone. You wouldnt think it would sound that good would you?

Yeah, i know i went off a bit, I could redo it much better, but I'm not that bothered as I was only putting it up to give a demo of the tone WFD requested.

I wonder what amps ATG were using at the time ?

Taken from the Slaughter of the Soul re-issue booklet

Quote
I know that Anders has been hassled for seven long years about the "Slaughter Of The Soul" guitar sound... This is how you do it... Are you ready ...; One Boss Heavy Metal distortion pedal, One Boss Metal Zone distortion pedal, One Peavey Supreme 160 amp... and here's the tricky part; Anders' home built cabinet with 2x10" speakers and 2x12" speakers... No more emails, phone calls or letters to Anders about this alright... Ha, ha... And yeah, you have to figure out the levels yourself.

I don't remember ever finding out what guitars where used to record SOTS, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing anders playing a PRS in the video for blinded by fear. If I remember, I'll double check that in the next few days. The PRS may have had EMGs in though, but I don't think it did. The album doesn't really sound like EMGs were used on it to me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Yup, sounds the same as mine so far, and I've read the case insert many times and have never come across EMGs, 5150's or the guitars being mentioned.

Haha, just as I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if he did use EMG's back then to be honest, I mean he uses them now and everything.
