Rotosound presents Billy Sheehan UK Workshop tour

Rotosound are proud to announce an exclusive workshop tour with the legendary bassist Billy Sheehan, at three PMT shops this October.

Known for his work with Steve Vai, David Lee Roth and Mr. Big, Billy has won many Best Bass Player awards and continues to be one of the most in demand players on the planet. He will demonstrate his jaw dropping technique with the use of chording, two-handed tapping, right hand "three finger picking" technique and controlled feedback as well as giving an incite to the industry and his career.

The dates for Billy’s appearance are as follows:

P:M:T Bristol
Friday 8th Oct  7:30 - 9:30  Questions & Answers- Master class demo- Meet 'n' Greet.

P:M:T Birmingham
Saturday 9th Oct  2:30pm - 4:30pm  Afternoon Tea with Billy- Questions & Answers- Master class demo- Meet 'n' Greet.

P:M:T Manchester
Monday 11th Oct  7:30-9:30  Questions & Answers- Master class demo- Meet 'n' Greet.

The events includes a question and answer sessions, an opportunity to meet Billy to get his autograph and will be an amazing opportunity to see up close one the worlds most technically accomplished players in a comfortable and intimate setting.

Billy has been a Rotosound endorsee for over 25 years and his signature stainless steel roundwound strings have helped shaped his unique sound. He will also be playing a further masterclasses in association with Rotosound at the Bass Day UK in Manchester on the 10th October where they will also be exhibiting.

I've been to one of his workshops in the early 90s' at the Bass Centre in London. I think he has 23 fingers. Nice bloke as well.

haven't been to a clinic, but saw him live with Steve Vai.  extraordinary player!  and a fine showman.  oh, and he sank a pint of guinness in about 10 seconds!  pretty hot guitar player too, when they swapped around instruments near the end

There could only have been 30 odd people there I think, either 90 or 91 I think. I was with my mate Chris from the Atom Seed if that means anything to you.

It was intimate wasn't it... Just prior to Lean Into It being released when "drill picking" hit the big time.

I really enjoyed it and Billy is a top bloke and very sociable.

I remember him telling an anecdote that one time he has let a guy in the crowd try his bass during a clinic and the dude had such corrosive acid/oily hands that when he handed it back the bass strings were so dead he had to change them there and then...

I've still got the signed posters from that night.  :)
