Saw Y&T last night - awesome gig
« on: October 17, 2010, 02:39:17 PM »
Some of you will know my love for this band but seeing them again last night at a small venue was spellbinding
The calibre of musicianship , great clear melodic guitar tones , and a superb setlist made for a super nights entertainment

As an added bonus they got their friend Jeff Scot Soto up to sing one of their songs (many will know his voice from the first 3 Yngwie Malmsteen albums or with his own work and with his band Talisman
What a set of pipes that guy has - unreal!

Cant wait to see them again next year

Here is a clip where Jeff joined them 2 years ago- great audio even if video is a bit patchy

Cool, they are one of my favorite bands too. I haven't seen them this year unfortuantely but hopefully next year. Glad you enjoyed it.

Very cool.  I'd like to see them again but I can't be bothered with gigs much these days.

I assume there was a stand-in bassist, as Phil Kennemore is unfortunately sick?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Ah - you should have gone Philly
I just turned up on the night and got a ticket on the door

Yeah - they have a stand in for Phil on bass as Phil has cancer and is undergoing chemo etc

Here is a cool instrumental they always play - give Gary Moore and Joe Bonnamassa a run for their money
From the 1987 album - contagious
