Hey guys,

Gratuitous plug here!

The Bullingdon on Cowley Road
Thursday 21st Oct
7:30pm

13Gauge, with Mother Corona, Apparitions of the End and As Gods

Run by Skeletor Promotions

This is *the* gig for all you metalheads in or near Oxford, and it's a chance to see/hear my Miracle Man loaded WezV Vociferator in action!

Do introduce yourself as someone from the forums if you come along, I'd be happy to show people the guitar after we've played (13Gauge is up first, so get there early!). This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a multiscale baritone ;)

Cheers!

Roo

Do you all still have to dress like this?

Cruel, so cruel

Nice one Roo, hope it goes really well, break a leg, etc :D

And (off-topic) for Technical-Authoring fans only... the following is a good example of why one should always use the "serial comma" in one's technical documentation and user guides, etc:

13Gauge, with Mother Corona, Apparitions of the End and As Gods

Is the last band called "Apparitions of the End and As Gods" or "As Gods"?

(Sorry for the digression, but I'm nurturing/training some underlings at the moment, not to mention some underqualified proofers, and this is a superb example - or it would be if they were metal fans ).

I think the only valid argument here for the serial (Oxford) comma is: 'When in Rome'. As this gig is in Oxford, I should indeed have included the final comma in the list. I still maintain that it is entirely optional, and that the opportunity to confuse people by naming your band 'Something And Something Else' is a luxury not to be trifled with. Of course, Oxford comma or not, that luxury still remains :D

Cheers for the wishes guys!

That was a brilliant gig!!!!

I have to say, the other bands were all superb (don't think we played too badly either, listening back to a recording now). A very very very good metal night (well organised by Skeletor promotions, too).

No need for neon strings to get some attention, the nastiness of our sound did that all on its own :D

Cheers :)

... and to complete the look, dress in a tight pair of leopardskin leggings, mince across the room saying "well HELLO, DARLINGS" before playing some Beatles tunes?

Really, that's not the kind of attention I'm after!
