SPLAWNILICIOUS video clip! *TO Live*

PhilKing shot this video from our gig in NYC last night. The song is titled Long Day's Journey Into Night.

The lighting was really really dark at the venue -- Sorry, but it's very dark. However, the audio is quite good, so I thought it might prove to be worth checking out. Also, please note: I could not hear a blessed thing as we were using stage volume, and didn't have any monitors!!!

Guitar I used on this song = Cold Sweat/Trilogy Suite Gajic Custom, which I call the TOC 2. (Maple neck, ebony fingerboard, OFR)

My signal chain was: Cold Sweat > HBE Dos Mos as buffer > HBE CPR compressor > Splawn Quick Rod running at 1/2 power > Hiwatt 4x12. (The bass player, Joey described the Hiwatt cab as 'a hernia in a box' lol)

The other guitarist was playing a my VG-88 as a preamp, and a Behringer A500 power amp into a Marshall 4x12. I think the tone was suprisingly good, especially when combined with the godly Splawn.

Phil will have to chime in, but from my vantage point, I will say that my tone was G O D L Y!! Muscular and edgy with the VHII, clean and VERY heavy metal with the Cold Sweat, and really killer with the Trilogy Suite (by that, I mean better than Yngwie! :) )

The tone aint bad either  

looked DANGEROUS with the cymbal falling over and nearly taking out the bassist.. and if it had hit your singer the 1st time... ouch!!

Is that a Vigier guitar the other guitarist is using?

Yes, it's a Vigier. I heard that someone recorded the whole show. I'm trying to get a hold of it now.

Bandy used to mean someone who is bow legged but it is been used to denote someone who is exhibiting the signs of having enjoyed his or herself. It amuses me as it is a bit old fashioned.  I have just watched it again and the sound of your gear is fantastic and the playing impressive.

Is it just me or does your singers voice sound like it`s mellowed slightly ? She sounded good not screachy !  :P

The sound mix was surprisingly good it`s a shame we can`t see any of you.

Ok mate i have to ask why no twin leads/riffs ? The riff walk down during the verses would sound great twined as would have that little solo melody about 1min 10 secs in !! OK maybe abit Maiden `ish  but thats no bad thing. Song sounds good when are you guys gonna get a Europe/Uk distribution deal ?
