This is the Tele I talked about, but with the open PK. Not the classical Fender and I play modern metal.:D
But I love the way that Carvin make telecaster, neck-through construction, comfortable and quick neck profile and amazing sounding woods, Sperzel and Gotoh hardwares. Great!

Sorry, but I hate hate hate telecasters. It's the homosexual bulbous horn that immediately makes me want to retch. In that guitar's favour, it doesn't have that godawful bridge and control plate gubbins. I bet it's still got a cr@ppy headstock though...

That Tele gave me a stiffy, truth be told.
ESPECIALLY because of the stripped approach it has. I like 1 humbucker guitars like teenagers like attention. Which means I absolutely love it.

I'm not usually keen on teles that drift away from the traditional, I wouldn't dream of putting a humbucker in one myself... but that one does look MIGHTY FINE :D

I dunno Roo... obviously we can all tell the difference quite easily, but I know some folk (a sister-in-law I have, for instance) who would look at Shotgun's tele and your Vociferator and decide that they were the same sort of guitar :lol:

The subtle nuances of "homosexual bulbous horn", let alone fanned frets, would probably pass them by!

That's exactly what I was thinking, Jonathan. I don't often need it at the moment, but when i do want it I struggle to get the crispness I'm aiming for. I know that with Riff Raffs and the right amp settings I can get close (I'm just too used to using my amps for blues-rock...), but it would be nice to have a pickup that you couldn't help but get in the right ballpark!
