The reason I started this project, was actually because I was bored.
And whenever I'm bored, I go to the warmoth page and start putting parts for a new guitar in the shopping cart.
I wasn't actually going to buy it - but I did.
Now I'm living on noodles and water until I get my salary in a week. FML!

Looks good!  I like the Vintage Modern necks too, but never tried the Boatneck contour.

The boatneck takes up slightly more space when stored under the bed Philly so you might feel it doesn't fit into your collection...

I like the Vintage Modern necks too, but never tried the Boatneck contour.

The boatneck takes up slightly more space when stored under the bed Philly so you might feel it doesn't fit into your collection...

I just took delivery of a Clapton back contour Tele neck for my new Telemaster project and that's quite an interesting profile.  If you run your finger across the back it feels quite sharp, certainly sharper than the soft V of a Fender Roadworn say, but it feels very nice when you hold it in the playing position.  For me it's a nice mixture between the standard Warmoth skinny-ish contour and the under-bed storage compromising boat neck.

Back to the original poster, I think the ebony will look great with that Strat body: very nice indeed.  I imagine Apaches would sound very good with ebony too.  I love them in my maple boarded Strat.

All the Warmoth necks in my under-the-bed* collection are '59 Roundbacks.  I don't like skinny necks or V necks and I've never been brave enough to try the Fatback, the '59 feels about right to me.

(* they're not really under the bed, that space is full of untouched-for-decades old guitars  :roll: )
