I have now ordered the Crawler and 2x MM for this one.
Warmoth told me that the neck was probably ready to ship in 3 to 4 weeks.
And I think BKP will ship my pickups tomorrow or monday.

Looking forward to have a new guitar finished in the beginning of 2011!

I decided to assemble the pickguard with whatever parts I had. The pots and knobs is actually reliced parts that is supposed to go on my vintage 50's strat project. The relicing doesn't show well in the pictures, but they look awesome in real life.

This is a white pearl pickguard. I'm replacing it with a vintage pearl pickguard because I think the white one looks too shiny, and it's kinda cold. The vintage one will look warmer, and it'll certainly fit better with the vintage tint neck too.

I'm only waiting for my bare knuckle pickups to show up, so that I can start soldering everything together.

The vintage pearl pickguard is actually drilled for master volume, master tone - and a DPDT switch for coilsplit.

I'm excited!
They should arrive tomorrow. They've been in norway for five days, and the postal services here are slow as a toyota prius!

That looks really good, man. What are you thinking you're gonna do for hardware color?

I do hope chrome or nickel, gold will make the guitar too posh, at least for my taste.

Chrome it is!
I don't like gold hardware at all. Gold COULD look good, but only on certain guitars with cerain finishes.

Your absolute right. On my superstrat were gold parts. I brushed all the plating of and it looks ten times better.

That's a beauty!
What pickups are those? Do you have any soundclips?

Update on my project:
1. Warmoth is still working on my neck.
2. Warmoth ships the vintage pearl pickguard and other parts tomorrow.
3. The norwegian customs are terrible. They've had my pickups for four days, and still havent sent them to me. Reason? Who knows... It wasn't a nailBOMB or something...

The strat (MXG, build by Patrick Eggle in conjunction with Maxguitars in The Hague Holland) is loaded with a Crawler and Irish Tours. I fitted a Fender rollerbridge and Sperzel lockingtuners for tremstability. It's very light: swampash with an exotic cocobolo-top (at least I'm told it's this wood), maple neck, eboney fingerboard with fallen leaves-inlay.
I will post some clips as soon as I got some gear to record properly. The micro in my NokiaN95 can't handle my Orange Rockerverb on rocking volume.

Hope you receive your parts soon. This fancy lady needs to be finished (I'm not referring to YOUR lady ).

Sounds like a very nice piece of guitar!

Well, I called the norwegian customs, and they told me that they needed some information to declare the package.
I gave them the information two days ago - and the tracking shows that my parts are at the customs still...

This is norway - ladies for everyone!

It's my fav guitar on stage, bec sometimes we're playing 4 sets (more then three hours) and then it's nice you don't have too much weight hanging on your shoulder.
