NED

New effects day. A Korg DL8000R from the late 90s. It's cheap and it sounds phenomenally good. A/DD/A is highest quality (for the time it came from), relais switched bypass, good level options, powerful LFOs, Envelopes, 4 Taps per side, rhythm delays, filters and a huge and bright LED display that looks cool :)

I also have a great delay with the Providence 80s pedal, but not all my amps want pedal level and the providence doesn't have any mod effects, so this one is perfect as a companion.

Quick clip this morning.

Very cool.  But I never took you for the rack type...

Haha, well apart from 2008-2009, when I was running an Axe FX and a VHT 2502, that was kinda "rack".

Issue is that both the Cornford and the Steavens don't like so much pedals in the loop. Also rack effects have better headroom and sound more deep IMO. Especially if they're from the last century, when they still had limited processing and converter specs, so they focussed more on making them "sound" good, too.

I heard of prices from 100 to 300 €. Mine was quite at the upper end at 250€. Still considerably cheaper than my Providence 80s delay pedal

Nice one, I thought it would be considerably more. But I know nothing about rack effects etc. On a side note I've never had any problems with any of the loops in my Cornfords??? You must dot the i's and cross the t's.. What do you notice that my deaf hears can't?

Level is more for racks, with the pedals I got tone suck and overload.

Oh right, I'll have to check that out when I've got my gear set up up next time. I did some testing along time ago and found that my old Boss pedals affected the amps natural sound with the TU2 being the worst.

Nice delay, indeed big '90's-sounds. I like the doubling-effect.
