Haha yeah, mine is the one in front. Took about 1 hr 45 to dig it out.

Just came back in from dinner at a pub, and another blizzard had started. We're getting sporadic snowfall every couple of hours.

Luckily i'm on annual leave anyway this week, so I don't have to fret about getting to work or not. Completely bored out of my skull though, was hoping to visit some friends around the country this week, but it's looking like theres no chance of that.

Sorry about that rather poor taste remark but it is actually what I said when she was talking about the snow. Yes Philly I am in the deep South ( Sussex) and currently it is snowing very heavily. My car is covered in it again(I'd cleared off the snow from this morning when I went out. I beleive that the jam I got caught up in was the result of a fatal accident so I shouldn't complaint. I have been told not to go in tomorrow.

Actually Mrs 38th was extremely pleased as she got just over 8 inches last night. Once it started there was no stopping it.

The snow here (St Andrews) is rubbish, only about 4-5 inches. Apparently 25" in Jedburgh at the moment, which is pretty substantial.

About a foot deep here now... my car needs it's MOT done this week, but I can't move it, and i'll be lucky if I can move it by Saturday.... have got to drive to Oxford on Sunday, so I might be in a bit of a problem!!

Really? Most of Fife is buried. My ma and Da haven't been able to get out their cul-de-sac in a car since Sunday (they're in Dunfermline).

Everyone else has it booked off.

I don;'t see the point really as if they can't provide us with work i'll happily sit there and get paid for reading a book or browsing the internet rather than using flexi or my annual leave days.

Yep, that's what makes it miserable. Nobody can get in or out of town so everything's completely shut down but for those of us actually here there's no snow to keep us entertained while everything's closed.

Leicestershire has had another bad attempt at snowing.  Most of it's cleared and what's left has grass sticking through.

I got told not to come in so I didn't and then got told off for not making the effort. It has snowed for most of the day though got lighter as the day wore on and we ended up with just under a foot of snow (I'll forgo the weak jokes you'll be pleased to learn)'. They say that we are to have record low temperatures overnight so the roads should be great fun.
