Wiring diagram for Ibanez 5 way switch using BKP's
« on: November 30, 2010, 04:39:17 PM »
Hi Guys

After taking the plunge and finally buying the Miricle Man neck pickup for my Ibanez 370DXL, i thought than rather

paying a lot of money for installation i should learn and do it myself. After consulting the wiring diagram from the

ibanez website

http://www.ibanez.com/supportResources/wiring/2006/W03005CHSHO11L5_NDM2.gif

i attempted it and failed miserably. i was wondering if i could get someone to point out which wires go in what

positions as i can't convert the BKP guide into the Ibanez. I have a Nailbomb in the bridge and the middle pickup is a

stock ibanez.

Thanks for any help posted. you will make a guitar player very happy and have some more money for future GAS

purchases!

Assuming you have 4 conductor wire on BKPs

swap BKP Red for ibanez white
Join BKP green and white  together and swap for Ibanez red
BKP black & braided wire goes to back of pot

If it sounds thin and nasty in positions 2 and 4 reverse the BKP red and BKP black

If still no luck ask again

i reversed the BKP red and BKP black as the first option you suggested sounded thin and nasty,  and it sounds great now.

thanks very much!
