It's an amazing piece of work!

I'm not totally sold on the closed black pickup covers, but I can't decide what (if anything) would look better.

Are the frets actually gold-coloured, or is it a trick of the light (or my monitor)?

I watched that recently and it had that image in it... kinda... just wondered if it is something else

Yep, the fret wire is gold. EVO fretwire or some such something or another. We were going to go gold covers but I think the black looks best. It kind of makes a symmetry with the black binding up the neck and the gold frets + the black headstock binding and the gold machines. I may put black saddles on the bridge yet.

Yea, read previous posts - I put a link to the video :) It's obviously a HNK guitar and I love the architecture throughout.
