'80 Gibson SG standard - opinions please

The price is just overpriced. Gibsons from that area are usually not much sought after. Unless you can play it and there is something very magical about it, I wouldn't go for it.

I had a 76 SG (previously owned by Fourth Feline of this forum for thirty Iyears)and it was a fantastic guitar. It sounded and played great and I like the look of the Norlin era Gibsons.   Only you can tell if its worth the money. When I wanted to trade the 76 I had loads of offeres of cash and trades,including USA PRS's,Gibson Les Paul Customs(two), 70's Teles as well as  other nice guitars..In the end I went with  a 76 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe routed with T Tops.
So if you like it it might be worth a go.

So, it turns out that 1/ price dropped to €900 (posting included) and 2/ the seller offers to first send me the SG so I can check it out before we call it (or not) a deal - so at worse I'll just lose the return fee. Also he's interested in my Vox Standard 25 (which I would have sold to fund the SG anyway), so  I'm going to give it a try ;)

Thanks - "shipment" was the word I was looking for but just couldn't remember ;)
