In the end it doesenīt matter to me at all.
I was just wondering about that.

My guitar is a working tool for me, so I donīt care if it looks like shite or not.
If it works it suits me fine.

Iīd never change the pickup just because itīs visible that I use my guitar.

But maybe other players have another point of view on that one..... 8)

And yes, the options for covers here at BKP are simply stunning!

If they were powder coated, it would never flake like that. That being said, I've been on the fence between black and camo myself. I've read a few posts about the black chipping off so I guess this picture here is my sign.

The black we use is a special etching primer that literally bonds to the cover, it is extremely hard but as with any cover plating or finish it will wear with time and playing. Some players are more aggressive than others and cause more excessive wear, unfortunately with black, once you wear through you expose the nickel silver underneath so it is more visible than nickel or chrome wearing for example.

Mine appear to have simply started flaking off around the pole pieces and then in bigger chunks. It ain't wear. Lol. I'm hoping it will look cooler when more of it falls off.

I can see what Tim means but the fact is that if it is prone to peeling off, it's certainly not for me. Has anyone experienced any other wear issues, especially with burnt chrome?

Ive had a burnt chrome miracle man since 2006.

It has only wornwhere i used to rest my finger against the bottom corner its really hard to capture on pictures as it wears to raw nickel and then kinda blends with the actual finish after a while
