If you have the chance, try an Ibanez J Custom.
They are an absolute work of art in every aspect. I love Ibanez guitars, but the J Custom owned my prestige model in every way ;-)
I had an 8527 DK-B that was a pretty nice guitar..........................but
these CTs were the prototypes for the J-Custom 7's and the maple top on this one is considerably thicker than the one that was on my 8527 and the fret wire on the CT is  "real jumbo" as compared to the low wide frets that were on my 8527.(why I ended up selling it)
I much prefer the CT over the J-Custom I had.

  Not really I usually do the "one comes in one goes out."
Over the years I've bought and sold a ton of guitars and just kept the ones that really "shined'.

(I'm down to 5 guitars total, from 14 6 years ago)
I'm one of the senior architect/developers at an HIT Software company in Boston.
My "gigging" days are long over it's all about recording now, so "professional Musician?"
not anymore

Good that another one of us nerds/tech heads rocks out as well.  I used to live in Boston and went to school there (at a certain university that starts with an M and has a Beaver for a mascot), how is the place now and where do you get such wonderful toys out there?  The GC out there left a bit to be desired, Daddy's is a place for the Berklee kids to pawn their stuff off, and Mr. Music though fun to visit just didn't have that big of a selection, and Matt's Music was a store no bigger than my living room in a stripmall in Nowhere, MA.  But I digress you have some really covetable gear sir, keep on rocking.

the stores here for the most part suck.
the Axe Palace gets some nice stuff ( I got my Rico 7 thru him) , mostly it's off EBay and Classified sections on forums.
The SevenString.org classifieds has been very good to me  (that's where I scored the RG7CT)
