I find it highly unlikely that Danny Filth legitimately won this poll by such a large margin without a coordinated online campaign to skew the result, so probably fair to disregard it.

That's probably true, but it's also the case in 'public voting' in pretty much every walk of life, from most battle of the bands competitions right up to elections. Not a good way to represent democracy on any level IMHO. Would be better to count only the votes from people living in Suffolk, or state up-front some guidelines on what sort of image content the panel are seeking. But that's too much work, isn't it. :/

Where abouts in Suffolk are you Mark?  I go to Woodbridge/Shottisham a fair bit.  I can ofen be found in the Ramsholt Arms if you know it.

I'm in Ipswich, heard of Woodbridge/Shottisham though. I'm not a native, I always get confused looks when I open my mouth and my lovely Scottish accent comes pouring out.

unless they were using proxies or something like that to vote like 50 times each, I don't see much of a problem.

They used the same argument about why it was awful last year that RATM beat the x-factor dude- not like simon cowell was running a co-ordinated campaign either :roll:

As roo said, if they didn't want stuff like that they should have said first. And I bet they'd have no problem with the internet if it increased the number of people voting.
