Legra aurora into VHT Pitbull CL100, boosted (just a little) with a JD10 and miced with an AT4050 and MD421 (the latter on a reamp with very slightly different settings), V30, bogner ubercab.

I love the second part of that, feels a bit clinical for my tastes on the first part. What's the amp setup, PB mixed with Pittbull or?

It was that, but I mixed the powerball out entirely now. Its pure VHT, boosted slightly (just slightly mind) with an award session JD10. The dominant track is AT4050, close (as it can get with its shockmount) on a V30, the second is a reamp with slightly different settings, MD4210, also V30.

Bass is my schechter duluxe 4 (I think its that anyway, stilletto design), which I'm groing to hate more and more. Drums are metal foundry.

I also really liked it as a whole. I have wanted to hear some more clips of the AM doing metal more similar to my own style. Around 2:45 though when the thing slows down, am I hearing quite a bit of noise from the guitar track? It has a weird s/n ratio, did the tracks you reamped have that volume ramp-up before you sent it through the VHT? I don't hear it anywhere else really, just that part.

Ah, well spotted. That was simply a foolish oversight - I neglected to cut out the 'silence' on that section on the reamp. Those parts are all the originally tracked guitars, which were fine for that bit; cut the bass, slides, chuggs and tom automated how I liked it and then left it alone. Its just hiss off the amp.

I've redone all the reamps now and that shouldnt be there any more - I know I cut that part this time. I'll replace it later.

I think there might be an origin influence on the sweeps ;)

Nah, surely not. The man that get a new nameless BK and calls it the aftermath records a track with sweep picking in it cant possibly have anything to do with Origin. Especially not a pattern thats quite similar to what origin often play. Youre going crazy.

just listened it again, if it's reamped do you still have the direct recording of the guitar?

ie can I have it?
