Warmoth Build Help?
« on: January 14, 2011, 09:26:28 PM »
Hello all!

I have recently decided that It is absolutely necessary that I build a Warmoth tele, but I still haven't quite finalised the spec, more specifically the woods...

I'm looking for a good classic rock sound leaning towards the rolling stones, though ideally i would be able to wind it down for cleaner stuff like reggae and possibly crank it up for a bit harder rock.

My main issue is that i'm not sure if i should go with a classic telecaster ash with maple neck, or a more gibson all mahogany.

Any advice would be appreciated!

many thanks!

I think you're a bit wanting to compare apples and bananas... Both can do the job, but are a little different from each other...

A LP with P90 can be really cool, thought!

For Stones I'd choose ash/maple.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
