I watched the Thin Lizzy thing on IPlayer last night and quite enjoyed it.

I found it a bit odd they only mentioned John Sykes and Snowy White etc in passing but gave Midge Ure, who I believe was only in the band for a few months to finish a tour and never actually recorded with?, his own little 5 minute slot.

I started watching the Iron Maiden thing afterwards but went to bed shortly after so I'll look for that on DVD

Sykes & Coverdale took an equal share of publishing on "Whitesnake" (87) so he certainly doesn't need the money!

One week writing together in a French chateau made them more money than a life time of gainful employment. After that they realised they hated each other and went their separate ways... Not a bad deal.  :)

Watching it now, in fact!

Forgotten how much I like Knopfler.  Great musician, great songwriter.

I watched it on the weekend. I'm not a big Knopfler fan, but it was an interesting watch I thought. I liked his anecdotes about song writing.
