Best Picture:
Black Swan

127 Hours
The Social Network
Toy Story 3
True Grit
Winter's Bone

Best Actor:
Javier Bardem - Biutiful
Colin Firth - The Kings Speech
James Franco - 127 Hours (who is, bizarrely, also the host of the ceremony)
Jesse Eisenberg - The Social Network
Jeff Bridges - True Grit

Best Actress:
Natalie Portman - Black Swan
Michelle Williams - Blue Valentine
Nicole Kidman - Rabbit Hole
Jennifer Lawrence - Winter's Bone
Annette Bening - The Kids Are All Right

Best Supporting Actor:
Christian Bale - The Fighter
John Hawkes - Winter's Bone
Jeremy Renner - The Town
Mark Ruffalo - The Kids Are Alright
Geoffrey Rush - The Kings Speech

Best Supporting Actress:
Amy Adams - The Fighter
Helena Bonham-Carter
Melissa Leo - The Fighter
Hailee Steinfeld - True Grit
Jacki Weaver - Animal Kingdom

Best Director:
Darren Aronofsky - Black Swan
Joel & Ethan Coen - True Grit
David Fincher - The Social Network
Tom Hooper - The King’s Speech
David O. Russell - The Fighter

My choices being highlighted - I've not seen a couple of the films, though.

And I think I'll be right other than Colin Firth taking best actor, The King's Speech best film and possibly Geoffrey Rush for best supporting actor.

For me the most interesting category is best original score.  My money's on Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross for The Social Network.  They've all ready got the Golden Globe for it. (Plus I'm a massive Trent Reznor Fan)

BEST ORIGINAL SCORE
How to Train Your Dragon - John Powell
Inception - Hans Zimmer
The King's Speech - Alexandre Desplat
127 Hours - AR Rahman
The Social Network - Trent Reznor and Atticus

Oscars... just another marketing tool for money-making purposes.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

Yep. Ridiculous gift bags for attendees as well. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that quite a few hollywood stars have boycotted the event due to it's excess - Edward Norton may have been one.
I think I hate being indecisive.

The whole thing is a farce. Most people on the committee to vote don't have the time to see even half the movies nominated. It is widely customary that the movie companies send gifts to them as well - and not just a pen or button.
The thing that upsets me the most however is the preselection of the movies that get nominated, which completely overlooks many indepentent filmmakers and most European productions - of course intentionally. Who wants extra competition after all?
The only saving grace is that sometimes there still are suprises. The biggest might have been Miramax's Shakespeare in love (which also started the "bribing" with gifts of people who vote on the movies, because that is what Miramax actually did) and the rather unknown Hurt Locker.
Still, Oscar is and will always be a marketing event for Hollywood-based studios and their productions.

I've got nothing against the Oscars really, but there are always just a handful of films which pick up all the nominations while others get totally overlooked - they don't seem to cast their net very far.  And timing plays a big part - you could release a great film in April or May and it'll be forgotten come Oscar time.

I have to be honest, the only one of the nominated films I've seen (so far) is Winter's Bone so I don't have any personal opinions about who or what should win.  It'll probably all be over before I see any others, although I do want to see Black Swan and maybe True Grit.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
