I agree entirely. He was my favourite guitarist, he had a tone to die for and was incredible live. The world is a much poorer place without his talent.

Still in love with you is one of my all time favourite songs.   I hope he was having fun when he went.  The music world has lost one of the masters.
So many pickups, so little time

Really shocked - had just been looking at the Out in the Fields tutorial in Guitar Techniques. One of the best Rock/Blues guitarist ever - very sad.    R.I.P.

Papers claiming that he choked on his own vomit after a bender...

Such a shame if that was indeed the case

Yes, Gary's original minimalistic and heart-rending version on 'Nightlife' was an oft overlooked  masterpiece. After seeing the recent 'Thin Lizzy' documentry on the BBC, it surprised me that it was he - and not 'Robbo' that fell first.
Gary's influence on generations of guitarists was incalculable.

Never was a fan but he was a great player. A sad loss indeed.

I just read about this maybe 5 minutes ago.....I'm utterly floored.  My first memory of Gary Moore was hearing a live version of White Knuckles at 15 years old.....I was shaking my head and wanting to put my guitar away forever because I'd "never be that good."  A piece of my childhood has gone home to rest.  R.I.P. Mr. Moore.......

Really good overview of his career I thought.
Interesting to see his jazz rock stuff. Some really difficult stuff played there.
