PIckup recommendation

New member and I really want to try some new pickups. My guitar is Bernie Rico Jr. Diva hardtail mahaghony wing with flame top and flame maple neck, ebony fretboard. I play it through a JCM 800 with 6650's through an organge 4x12. I play aggresive death/thrash. What would be a good pickup to use?

Tim at BKP compensates the tonemellowing influence of the cover in the windings, but usually covers will take a (tiny) bit of treble. BTW, the Aftermath is called to be supertight, so for thrash/deathmetal a great pu. You could also look at the Ceramic Warpig. If you want prof. advice you can mail the BKP-team. They will answer all your questions.

I would actually say miracle man more than the aftermath.

i think the aftermath may be a tad too dry for what you are playing.

However that may change if you throw up some examples of the tonal area you are aiming for

the screws on the aftermath are above the cover, so there shouldn't be an audible difference anyway. and even if there were a tonal difference, i highly doubt anyone could tell playing through a high gain rig like that.

as far as pickup choices tho, i would shoot Tim an email and pick his brain in addition to getting feedback from forum members. good luck

How is a pickup dry?

Aftermath is fantastic for death metal.
