I Love it. I have an old friend who has one in his home that one day I will get him to sell to me- his is not a very nice colour but the guitar itself is super. Yours however looks the business -great colour!

Very cool. Really well done on your find.

Did I try before buying? No Ebay.

Two no votes on the matching headstocks. Well last year at a local guitar store I saw a Fender Jaguar in red with a matching headstock and it gave me a semi so I'm mighty pleased to get one.

Is there anything better than a NGD that goes lottery? No pub is going to get me tonight.

That last picture is epic! The guitar is sexy all it needs is a tortoise shell pickguard & your done mate. Congrats on the guitar & beer choice :)

I have to admit that, in that colour, matching headstock does not seem so bad. In general I don't like it on my strats, but that one looks so good anyway I might even have put up with it myself!

What gets me, is that I tried these guitars in the early 80s, and I just couldn't see what the fuss was all about - I preferred my Squier. Otherwise I'd have owned one for the last 30 years!

After listening to the clips for a very long time last night I think I'm going to go for Apaches. They're the pups that shouted Strat the loudest.

I have Apaches and love them BUT most people put them in maple boarded Strats. You might find you need something brighter to balance the rosewood. My two pence.

It looks great - I like the painted headstock.  Apaches can work in Rosewood, though the 59 slab board or 63 curved board would be the more vintage correct.  Not to add another to the mix, but Mothers Milks work great with rosewood boards.
So many pickups, so little time

This board is a veneer and the guitar is quite bright and light so fingers crossed for the Apaches.

Yeah 38th I kept listening to the official clips last night again and again and kept coming back to the slow blues with Apaches. That's what a Strat sounds like! I liked all the pickups, but as winds get hotter I feel you're increasingly hearing the sound of the pup and decreasingly the sound of the guitar.
