NGD Tokai Strat
« on: February 25, 2011, 03:46:19 PM »
Came today, photo doesn't do it justice, it's achingly beautiful in the flesh. It's a 1981 Springy Sound that's had a re-paint (nitro). The neck is stunning and general condition very good indeed for a 30yr old. Pickups aren't great, but I intended to put Bareknuckles in there anyway.

That's a really lovely guitar right there. Very nice indeed and I like the matching headstock - doesn't work for me in every colour but that one looks a beaut.  Will it be Irish Tours, Mother's Milk, the 62 set?  Please tell us, we all get excited by this kind of detail. :)

I'm super-stoked. A genuine vintage guitar of custom shop quality for £425. I'm thinking Irish Tours and a nice brass trem block. Any suggestions on the latter would be appreciated.

That is beautiful. Great price too. Did you try before buying?

Need a strat so bad.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I worked on a CAR version recently - they are cracking!   It got all new hardware and quite a modern look, (not what i would have done for myself) but the new trem and tuners where definite improvements - a trem block will work wonders on that

I like sonic blue. The painted headstock makes it a looker. Very nice guitar. I have IT's in my strat and I love them.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
