Pot shafts
« on: February 26, 2011, 03:57:08 PM »
Hey guys,

I know there are two lengths for the BKP Custom Audio Taper 550K CTS pots, one of them is 3/4" but the other one just says "standard". Could anyone tell me what length the standard shafts are?

The pots I have in my guitar are 18mm which is just under 3/4" (2 32nds under, in fact.)

Which should I go for, standard or 3/4"?

Whats the guitar?

The long shaft ones are good for Les Paul and PRS / carved top guitars - these have 20mm of threaded bit (30mm total)
the others are good in non-carve top & also pickguard equipped guitars - these have 10mm of threaded bit (20mm total)

Great fretwork!

Two Guitars, both with the same length pot shafts. BC Rich Warlock and a Jackson DR7T. Both flat-top guitars, so I guess standard?

[Edit] Yeah, confirmed 10mm thread, standard then, heh.

Cheers for the help dude!
