So I have this Kahler fulcrum bridge that allows almost a full 1/2" of extra room between the bridge PU and itself, compared to an OFR. My Jacksons have the bridge PU centered on 23 and 5/8" or 60cm from the nut. What are you guys finding is a good placement for real chunky palm mutes and searing pinch harmonics? Metal stuff, that is. Should I just keep the PU in the same spot as Jackson or would I hear a tighter, more percussive sound by scooting it a bit down? I'm not looking to sacrifice open chords and I'm thinking maybe that'll lead to a thin sound, but I've not experimented in this way. Will be using a Miracle Man, if that's of any help.
