Paul Gilbert Tabs

Anyone got a reliable source for Paul Gilbert tabs?
I found some for Down to Mexico but they just weren't right so today I learned the intro/verse parts by ear... I'll probably need a guide when it comes to the lead parts later in it.

This is the first time I've tried learning something for a long time. I had 2 guitar lessons to break my however many years of being self taught, and it's really paid off. I just need to keep pushing myself, and I think out of all the crazy wild guitarists out there, Paul Gilbert seems to keep my attention the best.

I'd be interested in what you find, I want to try the new album out but it's damn unlucky for tabs. I presume you've scoured Ultimate Guitar?

i did a search and found a few version of the same thing, with good ratings, but none seemed THAT correct. The first one I tried was in a completely different key that the track.

Guitar Pro tabs via Ultimate Guitar seem to be the best, I'm trying to learn Viking Kong atm

generally has a lot of accurate tabs ive never looked at PG though as i find him dull but most of the friedman stuff is spot on

I had a look. found a pretty good one. got the jist at least. I wasn't off doing it by ear!
This is the first time I've found a .gp3 file though! I found out I needed a reader for it... very snazzy

gp3 should open in any version of GP after 3.

theres a few other sites too but i cant remember them off the top of my head ill have to look in my backed up favourites folder on the external hdd.

Down to Mexico is a tune! Used to cover it in an old band I was in when I was about 16/17. Used a strat on it and the bouncy verse stuff sounded proper spanky!

unfortunately I had zero interest in anything really technical from the time I started playing until about now.
As Jonny said, trying to learn this stuff is a really fun way of working on technique, and at least I've been playing long enough to be able to pick up certain things a little quicker than I would have 10 years ago which is probably like some little ego boost that makes me think I'm better than I thought and adds to the fun by talking some of the frustration away.

I think I'd been playing for 2 years when I was 16, so... probably would have struggled with this... it is a great tune though!

Can you not just youtube intense rock 2?
I've got it on VHS. He plays the song on the intro of the video and then tells you how to play it later on the tape
