Mules: Swedish-style high-gain

Hey dudes,

Here's a brief Killswitch Engage-style clip I knocked up to show how how my Blackmachine B2 copes with high gain tones despite having low-output Bare Knuckle "The Mule" pickups.
I'm using the Soldano SLO100 model on the Axe-FX, through a Redwire Soldano 4x12 cabinet. Drums are S2.0 as per usual.

Thanks! I believe it wouldn't be possible to wind 42AWG plain enamel up to 11 or 12kΩ, IIRC there simply wouldn't be enough room on the bobbin. If you were to move to a thinner wire it would change the tonal characteristics significantly and besides, if you were to do this I think the with the Mule's AIV magnet, the low end response would be significantly looser.
If you want a traditional PAF voicing but with more meat and output, try the Black Dog :)

Nolly, that crunch and harmonics are superb. This clips underlines how great and versatile Mules are. When I come over my strat- and tele-disease, Mules are on top of the list for a mahagony-guitar.

Awesome tone from my favourite bkp set :D  I'm so used to them sounding "classic rock" with my amp that I forget what they can sound like through something more modern!

I like the hannes, first time I tried one I didn't really notice it because I'm used to floyds but having played Nolly's Daemoness 7 and then the 6, the hannes is so much more comfortable to me

you know nolly, i'm really glad i'm not the only low tuned metal player that reallllly loves his low outputs. my black dog is definitely staying in my 7 string and i put my neck riff raff into the bridge of my 8 string to replace my cold sweat which was too hot. even if it's a neck pickup, it works really well, but the real thing must kill, can't wait to have the cash to order it
