Double slugs?
« on: March 11, 2011, 04:41:06 AM »
I was reading an article earlier today(before I started drinking) that stated Seth Lover didn't even want adjustment screws for his original designs, they were all slugs. The adjustment screws were a "gimmick" to increase sales and exposure. Has anyone ever seen, heard or played a double slugged humbucker? Is Tim capable of doing this or does it mess with the recipes too much.... Seems to me if Lover was against the idea of adjustment screws, potential benefits could be had.

I believe a lot of the solid pickup covers come with double slugs under them when bkp do them as everyone that ive had

Nailbomb, Aftermath, Holy Diver

all had no pole pieces protruding from the rear.

im not 100% sure if this is what was going on but it would make sense as with the cover being solid no adjustments can be made therefore it would just be a "gimmick"

and they all sounded exactly like any other variant of the pickup that i'd tried
