excuse my english ASL induced perplexity... are you talking about allen heads versus allen bolts? or about bolts vs screws? allen heads are not a "standard" option, but they can be installed if you ask. bolts enhance presence and clarity, compared to screws (that should be preferred in low output pickups or if you need some more bass and a slightly more "closed" tone) . i didn't notice any substantial difference between bolts and heads (i've got them on my 2 alnico nailbomb sets) - but i read that they give a slightly more focused tone.
