Got rid of the Marshall

Well,
as the Marshall would not work in the UK and it would be an expensive Ornament (and it was a MG mini-stack) I took it back.

I was overdue on the time limit but Guitar Centre were good enough to take it back.
SO what did I get instead?
Well, I am going for an ENGL Screamer Combo when I get to the UK but still wanted a practice amp for now, and one that would actually work in the UK.

So I got a Roland Micro Cube!!!!
Was suggested here and gets great reviews everywhere so went for it.

Will let ya know how it really does sound.

You can get transformers at maplin that will let you use US equipment in the UK.  I had a lot of things there with me running on them.  Sorry you didn't know this.

bout the marshall for knock down price so got $100 back (towards second guitar) and the microcube, which is a BLAST.
OMG this thing is soooooooooooo much fun.
OK not pro. but gonna get the ENGL in UK for that.
But for practice and fun at home it's a scream. Silly grin for summit so small to be so good and sooooo entertaining.
Looking at a 1991 USA Jackson Soloist in white now (extra money helped to fund this maybe).

The Roland Microcubes are a laugh and a half. I have one. You can take it on holiday, busking, anywhere. Also, they are Tone In A Box. Loadsa inbuilt effects as well. No problems with mine at all, the batteries last for ages and I once connected it to a subwoofer speaker and used it with a bass. Now that was fun.

They take 6aas, but they do last a damn good while - I borrow Gochaz's everytime I go abroad, and it's fantastic. I think the key to their fun is that you know it would still work if there was a fire and you had to use it to break the second storey window to escape. Fab.
