I am definetly intrigued by the loop, but also by the 3 Preamp tubes...would certainly give me the ability to further refine my sound, although I would have to use more AT7 tubes to not have the gain go overboard. Right now I use a TubeAmp Doctor AX7 in V1 cause I just like the sound the most and a JJ AT7 in V2 to tame that thing and smooth it out for more singing qualitys.
Wish the JJ AT7 / AX7 combination wasn´t so damn dark overly smooth in the lows...
If I now had a V3...oh the possibilitys!

You need to keep an eye on JPF Amps.
TT's (Oranges in general maybe?) ain't really what I'd call boutique... though I wouldn't be able to come up with a solid definition if you asked me to define boutique... they are made at low cost in China (I think, in the east anyway).

JPF Amps 15watt 6V6 head is great! It's simple, basic, built really well and just sounds really good. full stop.
I think they have plans to add a reverb into it. That chassis will fit a full size reverb tank. As a head it's also REALLY light! Maybe even lighter than the TT. They also have a combo design.

If you want a low watt responsive warm sounding point to point handmade valve amp that just sounds great and is stripped of all the gimmicks... it might be something you'd be into... and when they get the reverb in there, it sounds like something right up your street.

I have the Thunder 30, and it is absolutely amazing. It has an incredible range of tones, from gorgeous cleans to classic rock to all out metal. I love it. As for the new Dark Terror, it looks really cool, my only problem with it would be that it doesn't seem to have a lot of clean headroom.

Do you have one? The Thunder is my first Orange (partly because they're considerably more expensive over here in the States) but I love it and would definitely consider getting another head from them.

I have the Rockerverb 50 head into 2x12 cab. It a 4 x 6v6 amp and sounds a bit more creamy then the Rockerverb 100 with EL34's. I feel it's really made for strats and tele's. They excel on this amp. The cleanchannel is nice and has enough headroom (at least in my band). You can get nice breakup at 13 o'lc--k. Sound somewhere between Fender and Vox. The drivechannel has four gainstages and will you bring from nearly clean, to Stevie Ray, into classic rock, heavy rock and even metal, depending on the guitar. I installed JJ's 6v6tubes to make it superround and creamy.
You will like the Thunderverb too, which has built-in-attenuation. The 50 watt head is EL34. The two channels are more or less voiced identically and have three gainstages per channel.

Oh wow I just looked into the Rockerverb, it looks amazing. It would be perfect if it had the attenuator feature like the Thunderverb, but that's what a boost pedal is for.

By the way, is it a new addition to the Orange line? I don't remember seeing it before.

No, they are for years on the market. Btw, the Thunderverb has a great sound too. And boosting gives another result than attenuation, which is delevoped to drive the powertubes more at an acceptable volume.

Well I managed to say two stupid things in a single post, awesome. I don't know nearly as much about amps as I do guitars, but now I've learned something new. I think what threw me off is that the Rockerverb MKII comes in black, and I don't remember seeing one in black before. But then again I was wrong before, so who knows?
