Nice little suprise...
« on: April 13, 2011, 09:17:27 PM »
Just had a look at the bridge pickup of my Les Paul which I bought a couple of months ago. The cover didnt look like it fitted right so I whipped it off and HEY PRESTO! a BKP! I just need to borrow a multi-meter now to find out what it is. Apparently its a bridge model as according to the sticker on the wiring (altho its not particularly hot). What a nice little bonus :)

The neck pickup has a 'patent applied for sticker' on the back and no other markings. Any ideas what that could be?

the other is most likely a gibson  '57 classic.  some have a ' '57 classic' sticker on the back as well, some dont

I'll stick some pictures up of the guitar this weekend. I forgot to do a NGD post! If you really want to see it then do a search for The Ghost of a Thousand on google. The guitarist with the Sunburst Les Paul, thats not me but it is my guitar!

As for the neck humbucker, after doing some research I'm pretty certain that its NOT an original PAF. Still sounds nice though!
